Anna Amerhauser

Artist

Anna Amerhauser is the founder of Studio 28, a Vienna-based practice that moves fluidly between art and design. Her work spans interior architecture and illustration, with both disciplines constantly influencing each other. Trained in Vienna, Vancouver, and Barcelona, she began her career in architecture and design, but soon started sketching the ideas she couldn’t yet realize in built form. This opened the path into illustration, which has since become a defining part of her artistic identity.

Through her fine art prints and custom drawings, Anna creates worlds where interiors, people, animals, and architecture intermingle, always balancing reality and imagination. Her works are distinguished by vibrant colors and compositions that shift between the familiar and the dreamlike. The interiors she designs are equally functional and detail-oriented, but infused with this artistic sensibility, giving them a unique character and strong visual identity.

With Studio 28, she has created a platform where design and art seamlessly overlap: spaces become canvases, and illustrations become worlds to step into. For Anna, art is an expression of curiosity and a way to make imagined places real.
